Welcome to Chayanam. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Chayanam website and your purchase of products from us.

2. Products

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, colours, measurements and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

However:

Colours may appear slightly different depending on your device, screen settings and lighting.
Sarees are woven products and minor variations in weave, texture, thread thickness, motifs or finishing may occur.
Minor weaving characteristics that are inherent to the manufacturing process will not necessarily constitute a manufacturing defect.
Product measurements may have a reasonable manufacturing tolerance.
The actual product supplied will be the product described on its product page.

We do not describe powerloom products as handmade unless the product is specifically identified as handmade.

3. Prices

All product prices displayed on the website are in Indian Rupees (₹).

Prices may be changed at any time. Any price change will not affect an order that has already been successfully placed and confirmed, except where an obvious pricing or technical error has occurred.

Applicable taxes, if any, will be displayed at checkout as required.

4. Orders

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected product.

An order is considered accepted when Chayanam sends an order confirmation or otherwise confirms the order.

We reserve the right to cancel an order in exceptional circumstances, including:

Product being unavailable;
Incorrect product or price information caused by a technical or human error;
Suspected fraudulent or unauthorised transactions;
Inability to deliver to the provided address; or
Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If we cancel an order for which payment has already been received, the eligible amount will be refunded to the original payment method.

5. Cash on Delivery

Cash on Delivery (COD) may be available for eligible locations and orders.

COD availability may depend on:

Delivery location;
Order value;
Courier availability;
Previous COD order history; and
Other operational considerations.

Chayanam may contact you to verify a COD order before dispatch.

6. Payment

We may accept payment methods displayed at checkout, including online payment methods and COD where available.

Online payments are processed through third-party payment service providers. Chayanam does not store your complete card information on its own servers.

7. Shipping

We currently offer shipping within India.

Where applicable, standard shipping is provided at no additional charge as displayed on the website.

Estimated delivery timelines are provided at checkout or through our Shipping Policy. Delivery timelines are estimates and may be affected by courier delays, weather, strikes, public holidays, remote locations or circumstances beyond our control.

8. Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

Our Returns & Refunds Policy forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

Customers should read the Returns & Refunds Policy before placing an order.

We will not exclude rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Indian law.

9. Product Care

Customers are responsible for following the care instructions supplied with the product.

Damage caused by improper washing, ironing, storage, chemical treatment, alteration, stitching, or other customer handling may not qualify as a product defect.

The Chayanam name, logo, product photographs, website content, graphics, descriptions and other original materials are owned by or licensed to Chayanam unless otherwise stated.

They may not be reproduced, copied, modified, distributed or commercially used without prior written permission.

12. Third-Party Services

Our website may use third-party services including payment gateways, courier companies, analytics services, communication services and Shopify.

These services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

Chayanam is not responsible for the independent policies or practices of third-party service providers.

13. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.

Subject to applicable law, Chayanam will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

14. Events Beyond Control

Chayanam will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, strikes, government restrictions, transportation disruptions, internet or technology failures, or other unforeseen circumstances.
